FINANCE ANALYST
LONDON – HYBRID
A fast-growing facilities company is seeking a Finance Analyst to join their dynamic team. As Finance Analyst, you will be responsible for the preparation and submission of timely and accurate journals, reconciliation of all assigned balance sheet accounts and identifying and incorporating process improvements across the team. You will work as a business partner, liaising with business heads on budgeting.
Finance Analyst key responsibilities include:
- Month end processes including, but not limited to:
- Period end reporting
- Preparation of monthly journals
- Preparation of monthly commentary to the standard and quality required for use by senior decision makers within the business.
- Preparing month end accruals and prepayments with thorough analysis of figures in the GL and budgets.
- Work closely with and support Finance Manager and Head of Financial Analysis in taking a data-based approach to decision making, proactively supporting business requests to allow commercial innovation
- Reporting on performance and provide support using financial reviews and analysis
- Preparation of the budget working closely with business heads
You will:
- A relevant university degree and be studying towards and accounting qualification ACCA or CIMA
- Previous experience in Management Accounts
- Strong data manipulation and IT skills, particularly in Excel and Oracle
- A good understanding of accounting standards and processes
- Experience in multi-site or contract-based environments is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
