Finance Manager – Safeguarding & Controls

Absolute recruit are partnered with a global payments business who are set for significant growth over the next 5 years and require an interim qualified finance manager with financial services experience. 
  
Operating across 30+ countries and offices across the globe our client operates in the fintech space, specifically within payments. This opportunity will be based in the City of London and will require the successful candidate to operate on a hybrid basis coming in to the office 3 days per week.
  
The finance manager role will be a 3-6 month interim position and will carry responsibilities included but not limited too:

1. Overseeing and supervising month end closure
2. Audit requests
3. Manager two accountants reviewing work and mentoring
4. VAT, Tax returns, ONS surveys and any other ad hoc required returns.
5. Drive best practice, staying on top controls and processes.  

The London based opportunity will be offering hybrid working. Initially you may be required to come to the offices for 4 days initially with that reducing to 3 days once settled in.
  
The position will be 3 months and will operate inside IR35 via an umbrella.  
  
£300-350 per day umbrella
  
To be considered for the role you will be/have:

• Practice trained (ideally within a top 25 accountancy firm).
• Experience working in Fintech, ideally the payments industry.
• Qualified accountant ACA. CAANZ, CPA, CA or ACCA with post qualified experience
• Experience in UK and Europe financial operations
• Working knowledge and experience working under FCA regulations. 
• Evidence of experience in compliance & financial acumen.
• Experience and understanding of financial reporting, including General ledger, Trial Balance, Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Financial Statements., including working knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS and FRS102).
