Group Financial Accountant

Super exciting Group Financial Accountant role supporting a highly impressive top 4 Trained FC looking after Financial Reporting, Compliance and Audit

The team at Absolute Recruit are recruiting for an ambitious qualified Accountant to join the financial reporting team of a £120 million turnover business in Watford growing quickly through acquisitions.

This role will lead on the External Audits and take ownership of the Financial Reporting Process, suggesting efficiency improvements and making sure month/year end is completed accurately. 

This opportunity is reporting to the Group Reporting Manager and will have exposure to senior stakeholders across the group. The company have a flexible working culture and operates a hybrid model.

Group Financial Accountant Responsibilities:

• Preparation of statutory accounts for multiple entities and tax reporting
• Reviewing financial reporting reconciliations prepared by Management Accountants
• Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Liaise with the wider finance team to understand Group processes and take responsibility for specific processes as required.
• Build strong relationships with all key stakeholders
• Supporting with ad hoc projects / tasks  

Desirable Skills:

• Qualified Accountant – ACCA / ACA or equivalent
• Technical accountant with strong financial reporting experience
• Good interpersonal skills and experienced in business partnering with other departments
