Senior Financial Accountant

Our client, a market leader Insurance business, are looking for a Senior Accountant with strong IFR17 experience.

Our client, a market leader Insurance business, are looking for a Senior Accountant with strong IFR17 experience, to join their IFRS17 operations team. The successful candidate will be part of a key team tasked with embedding IFRS 17 reporting within the group, delivering provision of IFRS 17 results to key stakeholders, in addition to production of the quarterly and annual accounts.

Key responsibilities include;

• Supporting with the reporting processes, including related IFRS17 models and data platforms, and preparation of the quarterly results
• Reviewing insurance currency balance sheet, preparation of budgets and reforecasting
• Preparing the Group’s subsidiary financial statements
• Oversee the preparation of IFRS 17 data, for monthly management information packs
• Research changes to the IFRS17 accounting policies, implementing relevant changes across the group in the evolution of IFRS17 reporting

  
Required candidate profile;

• ACA or ACCA qualified with 3+ years post qualification experience
• Strong IFRS 17 knowledge
• Good overall knowledge of insurance industry practices/policies
• Good knowledge of UK GAAP
• Knowledge of PowerPivot and Power Query is useful but not essential
• Experience of Great Plains would be beneficial

  
Package includes;

• Salary of up to £85,000
• Annual bonus (typically 12%+)
