      Impairment Analyst required for a listed Financial Services Group, can be based anywhere in the UK as 80% remote

      A Listed Specialist Financial Services firm are in the market for a Senior Impairment Analyst to join their team. This role can be based anywhere in the UK & requires 1 day a week in their London or North of England office.
       
      The impairment team is a critical business function in reporting provisions under IFRS9 and monitoring the provisioning models on a monthly basis. The team also works closely with the wider business and provides ongoing analytical support to describe the potential impact of the Bank’s strategy on provision numbers.

      Reporting to the Impairment Manager, the main objective of the Senior Impairment Analyst role will be to execute and support the daily and monthly IFRS 9 impairment reporting framework.
       
      Specific responsibilities and objectives of the role will be to:

      • Perform and assist with budgeting and stress testing in relation to impairment
      • Closely monitor model performance and raise any performance issues
      • Monthly production of detailed IFRS 9 impairment MI
      • Produce variance analysis and monthly model monitoring information for review by the regular model governance meeting
      • Work closely with the wider Treasury, Finance and Data & Analytics teams to ensure the impairment reporting process runs efficiently

      We are looking for finance professionals interested in being part of a dynamic and changing team. To be successful in this role, you will specifically possess;

      • Experience of working in a management accounting/management information function
      • Relatable knowledge of impairment reporting
      • Advanced Excel and moderate capability of SAS
      • The ability to build and tell a story from data
      • It would be desirable if you have worked within Financial Services and have worked within a credit card portfolio or the non-standard credit market
