Statutory Accounting Manager

Absolute Recruit are supporting a large listed business to recruit for a Group Finance Manager role to be based at their head office in Hertfordshire.

The role of Group Finance Manager will report in to the Head of Finance and suit a qualified (ACA/ACCA) with a minimum of 2-3 years of PQE working in listed environment in industry

This role offers great exposure to the senior manaement team and will also have you involved in M&A activities and transformation project. Its a role that will have a real impact on the business.

Your responsabilities will include: 

• Delivery on the Statutory accounts and reporting for the companies in a timely manner.
• Leading the audit process to deliver the Statutory accounts by acting as point of contact between the auditors and the subsidiaries.
• Prepare timetables and instructions to the subsidiaries to ensure reporting deadlines are met.
• Involved in the implementation and ongoing maintenance of new accounting systems.
• Reviewing Business Unit performance each accounting period, including continually building and improving the process by which Business Units present and explain periodic results.
• Delivering adhoc projects to support continuous improvement of the Group’s statutory reporting & control function, including liaising with the Group M&A team on significant non-routine transactions.
