The Role:
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Group Management Accountant to join a growing and strengthening finance team. This is a pivotal role where you will be responsible for producing group management accounts for 9 entities. You will work closely with two Management Accountants who are currently studying, providing guidance and support to aid their professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and produce group management accounts for 9 entities
- Oversee the month-end close process, striving to improve and reduce the close period
- Assist with the implementation of a new financial system
- Offer ideas to improve processes and reduce month-end close.
- Drive change management initiatives to enhance reporting and financial performance
- Provide accurate and timely financial reporting to senior management
- Support and mentor two Management Accountants in their professional studies
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting operations
Requirements:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
- Extensive experience in management accounting, preferably in a group context
- Proven track record of successful change management and system implementation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment
- Proficient in financial software and MS Office, particularly Excel
